We recommend coming into our office in Statesville, NC for a dental checkup every six months.
Seeing a dentist regularly is a critical aspect of keeping your teeth and gums healthy. At Kotis Family Dentistry, we recommend coming into our office in Statesville, North Carolina for a dental checkup about every six months. However, we may have you come in more often if you suffer from a dental or medical condition that compromises the health of your teeth.
There are several things that will occur during your dental checkup. First, we will floss your teeth, clean them thoroughly, and remove plaque from them. Before this occurs, depending on your situation, we may also take X-rays of your mouth.
After your teeth are cleaned, our dentist, Dr. Amanda Brown Kotis, will likely visit with you. During this part of your appointment, Dr. Kotis will go over any problems that we noticed as we cleaned your teeth or took X-rays and provide you with effective solutions.
After this portion of the process is done, your dental checkup isn’t over. Once Dr. Kotis finishes examining your teeth, we strongly encourage you to ask us any questions you might have about your teeth and gums. For example, if you struggle with sensitive teeth and want to know how to remedy this issue, we can help you understand why teeth become sensitive and what you can do to overcome it.
If it’s been a while since your last dental checkup, make sure you schedule an appointment with us at Kotis Family Dentistry as soon as possible. Thanks to our office’s convenient hours, we’re confident that we will be able to find an appointment time that complements your schedule.
