Children's Dentistry in Statesville, North Carolina

We offer a comfortable environment that puts children and adults at ease, and our team is dedicated to making every visit as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We especially want our children’s dentistry patients to look forward to their dental exams, cleanings, and other preventative dental services. Children enjoy seeing our newest dentist, Dr. Malav Trivedi, who brings years of experience in treating kids ages 6+ and helping children learn all about dental health and the proper way to care for their teeth and gums.

The first visit is designed to put your child at ease and give both of you the chance to get to know us and get answers to your questions regarding children’s dentistry. We will review your child’s medical and dental history, and if your child is agreeable, we’ll conduct a dental examination to determine if there are any issues with your child’s teeth and gums, as well as check overall dental development.

We will discuss preventative treatments, such as fluoride treatments and sealants that can make your child’s teeth stronger and protect against cavities. If your child is anxious about us doing the examination or preventative treatments, we can help them relax with sedation dentistry. Nitrous oxide is used to ease anxiety and promote calmness.

By making every children’s dentistry visit a fun and enjoyable experience and taking the time to address all your questions and those of your child, we are confident that ongoing dental care will be embraced by your child. We also take the time to educate your child about the right way to brush and floss, as well as other home dental care that will keep their teeth strong and healthy. We can also make recommendations about any dental work that might be needed to correct issues in dental development so your child can have the best smile possible. We can address issues such as if your child grinds their teeth at night or if they are missing the back teeth or between teeth during their brushing and flossing routine. We will also discuss how often your child should have dental x-rays based on their risk factor for tooth decay or orthodontic problems. This could be anywhere from twice a year to every two years.

If you have any questions about children’s dentistry and the expert care that we give young teeth, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We will be happy to schedule a first visit with your child so we can get to know each other and get them ready for a lifetime of brilliant smiles. Long-term oral health begins in childhood and with our general and cosmetic dentistry services, it can continue for a lifetime.
